Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile is launching globally on March 21st, after a limited edition during the past year. The free-to-play game will be available on iOS and Android, featuring maps like Verdansk and Rebirth Island, with cross-progression with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III and Call of Duty: Warzone on PC and console.
Cross-progression means you can earn XP on mobile, contributing to your player level and progression across mobile, PC, and console. There is also shared weapon progression, allowing you to work on weapon XP while mobile and away from your TV or screen.
The Verdansk map with 120 players will be available in Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile, including the Gulag of Verdansk where you have to eliminate a rival player to respawn into the game if deleted. The Rebirth Island with 48 players is also available here, with Resurgence rules so you can respawn freely as long as one of your teammates is still alive.
You can also access multiplayer after Warzone Mobile launches, including maps like Shipment, Scrapyard, and Shoot House – with modes like Team Deathmatch, Kill Confirmed, Domination, and others available.
Activision has added a variety of personalization options for the mobile experience, including controller support if you prefer to avoid on-screen controls. You can also customize the HUD and virtual joysticks, and there are even performance or graphics modes like a console game.
Early excerpts from the preview version of Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile show that this is not your average mobile game. The level of detail and performance is similar to console versions of Warzone.
Over the past year, Activision has been busy fixing bugs and collecting feedback for Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile during the limited release in countries like Australia, Chile, Norway, Sweden, Germany, and Malaysia.
"The time I spent with our limited edition players has proven to be very valuable with dozens of major updates, thousands of bugs fixed, and new content and features added," says Activision here.
Considering that Call of Duty: Mobile was one of the biggest mobile launches ever with 100 million downloads, Warzone Mobile could be another big hit for Activision. 50 million players have already pre-registered for the download of Warzone Mobile.
You can pre-register for Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile now on the official Warzone Mobile website and if you register before the global launch, you will unlock a skin, weapon blueprint, and emblem for use in the game.
